Ann Cleland (She/Her)

MA, LPC-Associate

Hello and welcome! I’m Ann, an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Buffalo, M.A., LPC-S, LMFT-S.

My goal is to offer a safe space where you can slow down, take a breath and find answers for yourself. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel seen, heard, and respected. Working together, we’ll explore your story, identify strengths, and build resilience.

Counseling is a new career for me. After spending years in consulting and tech, I was able to follow my heart. My own experience in counseling during a time of loss, burnout, and mental health challenges showed me the benefits of this work.

Why Did you Become a Therapist?

A couple of years ago, my life fell apart. I was burned out, unhappy, grieving and struggling with anxiety and trauma. Counseling seemed like it could help, or at least it wouldn’t hurt. Because of therapy, I began to understand myself better, strengthen my coping skills and learned how to decide what was important. Counseling changed my life.

I know that I can’t change everything that is broken in this world. However, I can help people make sense of their lives and move forward with hope.
