Emily Roberson Campbell (She/Her)
MA, LPC-Associate
Who we are doesn’t develop in isolation.
Our relationships and experiences shape how we see ourselves, what we expect from others, and how we respond to the world around us. And sometimes, the ways we’ve understood ourselves no longer fit quite as they once did. Relationships shift. Roles change. Experiences leave their mark. We may find ourselves navigating new identities, questioning old expectations, or realizing that patterns that once helped us survive or belong aren’t working for us anymore.
For me, therapy starts with creating a relationship where you feel safe, heard, and comfortable enough to be honest, especially about the things that feel messy, contradictory, or hard to say out loud. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you want to work on before you walk through the door. We can figure that out together. We might notice patterns in your relationships, get curious about why certain things affect you so deeply, explore how you treat yourself, or look at how past experiences are showing up in your life today. And sometimes it’s more practical: preparing for a difficult conversation, setting a boundary, working through a decision you feel stuck on, or finding a way through something that feels overwhelming right now.
My style is warm, relational, and engaged. I’m not going to sit silently and expect you to do all the work, but I’m also not here to tell you how you should live your life. I’ll ask questions, share what I’m noticing, slow us down when something feels important, and gently challenge you to look at things differently. And while therapy can be hard work, I don’t think it has to feel serious all the time. There’s room for humor, lightness, and for you to just be yourself.
Emily is an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Buffalo, LPC-S, LMFT-S.

A Word from your Therapist
Finding a therapist can feel vulnerable. You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for or have the right words before reaching out. If something on this page resonated with you, we can talk and see if working together feels like a good fit. I’d love to hear from you!
Educational and Work Background
I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University, where I completed my clinical training at the university’s counseling center working primarily with college students. I also hold a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from Trinity University.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in healthcare administration and leadership, managing large teams and working closely with people at many different stages of their careers. The relationships I built with the people I worked with were ultimately the most meaningful part of that career and played an important role in my decision to become a therapist. That experience still informs the way I think about relationships, work, identity, and the many roles we carry in our lives.
Hobbies or Personal Interests
When I’m not working, you can usually find me trying a new recipe from my ever growing cookbook collection, experimenting with gluten free baking, or spending time in my backyard garden. I also love reality TV and true crime documentaries, and spend as much time as I can outside with my family and our very full house of two dogs and two cats.
Why Did you Become a Therapist?
Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade working in healthcare, healthcare technology, and consulting. While there were many things I valued about that career, I found myself most drawn to the relationships I built with the people I worked with and the opportunity to connect with people one on one. Through my own experience in therapy, I began to think more intentionally about my values, what felt meaningful to me, and what I wanted my life and work to look like. That process ultimately led me to make a significant career change and become a therapist. Having experienced the value of that kind of space in my own life is part of why I feel so strongly about creating it for others.
